SP2 update For Mac Office 2008 Released

According to an Official Microsoft Corp.’s Macintosh Business Unit report on Monday, Service Pack 2 update on Mac office 2008 has been released. Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac, SP2, offers the Document Connection for Mac tool. It allows user to save and open documents on Microsoft's online SharePoint and Microsoft Office Live Workspace portals.

The company, in line with its recent cloud push, includes a tool that lets users access their documents from the Web in the Service Pack 2 update debut. Microsoft is viewed by analysts as pushing more of its applications to the Web to fend off Google and other net rivals.

The report also had it that Microsoft Office 2010, expected to be made available in the first half of next year, will include free Web-based versions of Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Office Live also is now compatible with Apple's Safari 4 Web browser.
