Installation Tool-kit For Windows 7 Released

The second trial version of tool-kit designed to ease installation of the new Windows 7 OS, as well as R2 [Windows Server 2008] has made debut according to an Official Microsoft announcement in a blog post Wednesday. Its high-point ensures compatible drivers are in place, standardizes desktop images, and eases automated deployment through a connection with (SCCM) – Server Management.

The MDT Beta 2 is designed to help enterprises manage tasks related to the installation of the new OS, which are slated to be available in late October. It also features a graphic interface with a number of drag-and-drop tools for folder management and other functions.

The tool-kit will be made available for download on Microsoft's Connect Web site. Release Candidate, currently available as a download, will function until June 1, 2010, after which users will need to upgrade to a full paid-version of the operating system if they wish to continue usage.
